Did you know Italian mojitos actually have basil leaves instead of mint leaves in them? Give it a try with this summery cocktail (or you can make it a mocktail) to feel like you’re really in Italy!
Ingredients
- 4-6 frozen peach slices
- 3 fresh basil leaves
- 1 oz Peach White Balsamic Reduction
- 1/2 oz Basil Olive Oil
- 2 oz white rum of your preference
- carbonated or sparkling water
- 1 lime
Other great flavors to try!
Make it a mocktail:
- Lose the rum and just replace the carbonated water with a flavored sparkling water of your choice!
Instructions
- Place basil leaves, the balsamic reduction and olive oil in a sturdy glass.
- Use a muddler to crush the basil and incorporate the flavors. Do not strain the mixture.
- Fill the glass almost to the top with the frozen peaches instead of ice and fill the glass with carbonated water.
- Squeeze the juice of one lime into the glass. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge. Cheers!
