This pesto is right at home as a base spread for all sorts of sandwiches. Of course, its also perfect tossed with your favorite pasta and is an excellent finishing sauce for chicken, salmon or grilled steak, Try it on its own as a dip with a crusty baguette or chewy ciabatta.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup roasted almonds
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 1/2 cups parmesan cheese grated
- 3/4 cups arugula leaves firmly packed
- 1 cup basil leaves firmly packed
- 1/2 cup Tutto Calabria Hot Spread Sauce
- 1/4 cup Balanced Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- sea salt to taste

Instructions
- Combine almonds, pine nuts, garlic, cheese in a food processor and pulse until the mixture is smooth. Add the arugula, basil and Orto Boom until a coarse paste forms. With the processor running slowly add the olive oil. Season with salt.
