Put quite simply... there's a lot of confusion when it comes to olive oil. What's the difference between "Extra Virgin" and just "Virgin"? How do I know which bottle to buy? Does it really matter?

Think back to the last time you were at the grocery store. Maybe you've read a couple articles on how to substitute olive oil for butter, or that olive oil is a great way to add flavor and health benefits to your food. Well, you're half-way there. Let's say you're standing in the aisle contemplating between 20+ different olive oils. You recognize some well-known brands right away while you feel unsure and apprehensive about other, unfamiliar brands. Regardless, you're left with choices. Which is good, better, the best? And how can you tell the difference?

Olive Oil has been around for centuries. Used for cooking, medicinal practices, religious rituals, skin care, and many other applications, it has been a staple in the Mediterranean diet all throughout history. Who knew, right?
