Refreshing Water Infusions

Refreshing Water InfusionsI think we can all agree that Summer is here! As temps rise, I'm constantly looking for ways to stay cool. One of my favorite ways is with a refreshing infused water.

There are countless different varieties of infusions to choose create - certain combinations of fruits and herbs can be extremely rejuvenating and cooling in this Summer heat. This is also a fun DIY activity with the kids; it gets their creative juices flowing and keeps them hydrated!

Here are 6 of my favorite ways to jazz up my H2O...

Refreshing Water Infusions

  1. Strawberry & Basil

Take 1 bunch of organic, washed basil and twist it in hands until you begin to smell the aroma, place that into the pitcher. Cut up 1 carton of organic, washed strawberries - cutting each berry into quarters. Place them into the pitcher. Fill pitcher with water and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  2. Watermelon & Mint

Take 1 bunch of mint (I prefer peppermint) leaves and twist it in hands until you begin to smell the aroma, place that into the pitcher. Cut up 1/8 - 1/4 of a small watermelon into small cubes and place that into pitcher. Fill pitcher with water and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  3. Cucumber, Lemon & Sage

Take 1 bunch of sage leaves and twist in hands until you begin to smell the aroma, place that into the pitcher. Cut up 3 lemons into lemon wedges and squeeze each wedge into pitcher, then place the wedges in the pitcher. Slice up 1 medium cucumber and place in pitcher. Fill pitcher with water and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  4. Lemon, Lavender & Thyme

Take 1 bunch of each fresh lavender & fresh thyme, twist each bunch in hands until you begin to smell the aromas of each bunch. Place the bunches in the pitcher.  Cut up 3 lemons into lemon wedges and squeeze each wedge into pitcher, then place the wedges in the pitcher. Fill pitcher with water and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  5. Lemon & Rosemary

Take 1 bunch of fresh rosemary sprigs and twist in hands until you begin to smell the aroma, place into pitcher. Cut up 3 lemons into lemon wedges and squeeze each wedge into pitcher, then place the wedges in the pitcher. Fill pitcher with water and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  6. Kiwi & Pineapple

Slice up 3 kiwis and cube 1/2 of a pineapple. Place into pitcher and fill pitcher with water and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.
