Perry's Green Olive Burger
It's that time of year again... time to honor Dad and to be grateful for every single thing he does for us. This year, we wanted to show him a little bit of love by making him his very favorite burger - Perry's Green Olive Burger! It's quite simple to make and let me tell you, it's really, really (really) delicious!
Perry's green Olive Burger
Inspired by Michigan's famed green olive burger, this rendition features our mouthwatering Spanish Olive Tapenade layered between two burger patties, melted Swiss cheese, on a buttery brioche bun.
Ingredients
2 pounds 85/15 Ground Beef (Organic Grass-Fed)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
1/4 cup Queen Creek Olive Mill Spanish Olive Tapenade
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 brioche hamburger buns
4 heirloom tomato slices
4 sweet onion slices
4 leaves butter lettuce
The Method
Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
Combine ground beef, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and Greek yogurt in a bowl; mix until well combined. Press into 8 equal hamburger patties 1/4-inch thick.
Place 1 tablespoon of the Spanish Olive Tapenade in the center of 4 patties. Top with remaining patties; pinch edges to seal.
Grill patties until no longer pink in the center, 6 to 8 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Top each with 1 slice swiss cheese; remove from grill.
Place each patty on a bun; top with 1 tomato slice, 1 onion slice, and 1 lettuce leaf.
