An Italian Valentine's Dinner

Why do we love Valentine's Day? It's a special time of year that brings to light all the things we love in our life. It's a time to acknowledge not only our significant other, but also our family, friends, neighbors or co-workers who truly mean so much to us.

No matter who you're celebrating with this year, we want you to create lasting memories over a good meal.

We've put together some of our favorite family recipes that make up our version of the perfect Italian Valentine's Dinner, enjoy!

An Italian Valentine's Dinner

Here, we have outlined every course, from the cocktail to the dessert. Hopefully some of these cherished family recipes can become your favorites, too!

Let's begin the evening with a classic drink.

The Perfect Dirty Martini

Next up, an easy appetizer to keep your tummy from rumbling while the rest of the meal is being prepared!

Classic Hummus

It's always a good idea to compliment a meal with a delicious and simple salad, and that's what is next on the menu.

The classic vinaigrette is simple - oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and herbs. You can use your favorite greens to accompany this salad.

Simple Italian Salad

This next dish makes a fantastic main course, and is sure to impress with its flavors. This is an olive oil based sauce, very easy to prepare and incredibly tasty. You can prepare this meal in literally the same time it takes to boil the pasta.

Spaghetti Aglio E Olio

Some other great options to try:

Balsamic Glazed Chicken
Halibut with Chardonnay Sauce
Seafood Paella

If you're really trying to impress or having a larger gathering, try adding a healthy side. This is one of my favorites and goes well with anything!

Jalapeno & Garlic Brussels Sprouts

Last, but certainly not least, is dessert! Some may say this is the most important dish of all. We chose this recipe because you simply cannot go wrong with chocolate on Valentine's Day.

Chocolate Almond Torte

There you have it! The perfect meal all planned out and ready to impress. Of course, there are many additional recipes on our site, so feel free to browse our recipes and make your own full course meal!
