3 Things to do with Maple Balsamic Vinegar
Yes, people! The rumors are true - one of our favorite vinegars is back in action...Can I get an 'eh'?!
In order to show our friendly neighbors to the north how much we truly appreciate them, we have dedicated an entire vinegar to one of their signature staples, MAPLE. This stuff is good, and it's not just my Canadian roots talking here. I know down in the Southwest, folks might not have much experience with the sappy goodness. Don't worry though...this is where I come into play.
3 THINGS TO DO WITH MAPLE BALSAMIC VINEGAR
This sweet, but tart vinegar is extremely versatile. Here are 3 things to do with Maple Balsamic Vinegar:
SALAD DRESSING
I know, I know, it's salad. But really, this stuff makes the most amazing dressing combined with a bit of our extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper. My personal favorite is using it with fresh butter lettuce and some crumbles of feta cheese, you really can't go wrong.
MEAT GLAZE
If you are looking to truly get down with the Canadian way, use our maple balsamic vinegar with our Blood Orange Olive Oil to create a glaze for meat. Our chef mixes these two together in a spray bottle and continuously sprays the combination while slow roasting ribs or chicken, or you can even use it on... yes...here it is...CANADIAN BACON!
SWEET SAUTÉ
Lastly, the Maple Balsamic Vinegar is an awesome addition to your veggies! Just add a splash or two to your pan while sautéing and I promise you, you will not be sorry (cue Canadian accent). If you are looking to add a kick of sweetness to your salty, you have found the perfect vinegar.
There you have it! Now get up off that chesterfield, and start using your Maple Balsamic Vinegar like a true Canuck.
