How to Clean Stainless Steel Appliances with Olive Oil
Do you have stainless steel appliances in your kitchen? I do - almost all my appliances are. From my oven to my fridge to my toaster to my electric kettle - it's all shiny and pretty...when it's clean. When it's not, it's not so pretty.
Unfortunately, this metal is prone to finger smudges and other blemishes that stand out - loud and clear.
Did you know you can easily clean your stainless steel appliances with something you already have in your pantry? Any guesses? That's right - olive oil!
Here's how to clean your stainless steel appliances in 3 easy steps, using 3 things you already own.
What You'll Need
- Olive Oil
- Rag (microfiber works best)
- Paper Towel
The Method
-
Find the direction of the grain. You'll see it going horizontally or vertically.
-
Pour a drop of oil onto a rag then wipe it down with your cloth going the direction of the grain.
-
Once the marks are gone, use a paper towel to create the shine.
That's it! Easy as pie. We love using this alternative method because it's completely natural - you'll avoid harsh chemicals found in traditional cleaning products.
And assuming this is something you already own, so you'll save some money, too. It's a win-win situation!
